How Becoming a Visionary Increases Success
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18)
Where there is vision we flourish, prosper, and grow – Vision is designing a future. Knowing what you want and how you want it to be. Discovering what you need to achieve it. In order to create a vision you have to be a visionary.
Visionaries:
Live Confidently – They are excited about what is happening in their life. They don’t wait for things to happen, they make things happen. They approach new ideas with an open mind exploring ways to make it work. They visualize creative ways of making their dreams come true. They look for ways to utilize and develop their imagination. They are passionate and enthusiastic about their dreams and ideas.
View Setbacks as Challenges – They welcome challenging problems and solve them creatively. They face personal failures and setbacks with equanimity and use these negative experiences constructively.
Understand that No Opportunity is Without Risk – They spot new opportunities and seize them courageously. They listen to new ideas and creative suggestions and evaluate carefully. They examine all positive ideas for validity and value. They look for opportunity in every obstacle.
Believe in Themselves and Their Ideas – They maintain a positive attitude and they are confident about their abilities. They come up with innovative, creative solutions to what is considered the impossible problem.
Visionaries are Leaders – You find them in every successful organization. They are busy designing the future. Every visionary has a vision. Vision speaks to the heart. Do you have a vision? If not, try answering the following questions:
- What do you want to create?
- Where do you want to be in the future?
- Where do you need to go to further your potential?
- What should you be doing? Not doing?
- What would be worth committing yourself to?
